We’re proud to announce that Marketwave has received three Platinum MarCom Awards—the highest honor awarded—for our work with Baylor Research Institute (BRI), Heroes On The Water (HOW) and the Mustang Heritage Foundation.
Marketwave took home a Platinum award in the Integrated Marketing category for our work on the BRI 2015 Community Report, which chronicled BRI’s successes in 2014-2015 through three strategic pieces: an online community report, a printed report and a direct mail piece fitted with a USB drive for direct access to the report. The community report, titled “Real Innovation, Right Here,” highlighted the impact Baylor’s research has on real patients in the community through patient stories, as well as significant findings from bench, clinical and outcomes research.
Marketwave also received a Platinum award for our pro bono work with HOW, a national nonprofit organization that offers outdoor programs to U.S. veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and undergoing rehabilitation. For HOW, Marketwave created a national brand platform and brand guidelines to unite the chapters spread across the country under one vision. We also created a lookbook, which helped communicate HOW’s mission to current and future members, donors and volunteers. The goal of the lookbook was to highlight the impact HOW has had on helping veterans heal from war-related injuries—both mental and physical.
Lastly, the agency won a Platinum award in the Public Relations Program category for our work with the Mustang Heritage Foundation on the America’s Mustang campaign. Marketwave built a public relations plan for the campaign with the primary goal of generating awareness and driving engagement for this collective effort among equine enthusiasts. As part of the PR plan, we created a content suite that included a newsletter article, a crisis plan, social media posts, press releases and more. Marketwave’s PR efforts resulted in 130 media hits that exceeded 50 million impressions, including print and online coverage in various outlets, a feature for Idaho Magazine and a live TV broadcast on KTVI-TV, a FOX-affiliated station in St. Louis.
The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition and entries are judged by experienced professionals in the marketing and communications fields.
