What’s Your brand?

When you think of a restaurant, a soft drink and maybe even someone you know, you have instant thoughts – whether good or bad. These feelings are the result of that product’s or person’s brand image and the impact it had on you.

A brand experience can be a really cool thing. It can also be really disappointing if your experience is negative. We all have traits that we carry over from our personal life to our professional life. Those traits are what people enjoy about you. Some might call it your personality; others might call it your brand.

So, something to think about today is your own personal brand. How will you stand out from the crowd? Your personal branding involves your actions, words, your dress, and how all of these areas speak to who you are.

Just as products are constantly being promoted as “new and improved,” the same goes for you. Always be on the lookout for things you can do to be a better version of yourself. Keep up with the latest news and events happening in your industry, learn a new technology, take a professional development course and so on.

Some say if you don’t brand yourself, someone else will; and it might not be the image you want to present to your audience. Find ways to make your personal brand unique and stand out from the pack.

Create your own brand and sell yourself. You are your own best promoter.
