We are currently undergoing some exciting renovations here at the Marketwave office. We moved into our new workplace about a year ago, and have since taken the opportunity to put our mark on the space – of course reflecting the Marketwave brand.
Our design goals:
- To create a space for our employees that fosters creativity and collaboration
- To design a space that gives visitors a deeper understanding of Marketwave’s values
- To display our abilities through the space design
Currently, our conference room redesign is underway so I thought I’d share some insight I’ve gained about the importance of environmental design in the workspace, through this process.
Happy employees = happy business. Some employees spend more time at the office than they do at their homes. Create a space that is inviting so people want to be there.
Dress to impress. Let your office space serve as a metaphorical handshake to your visitors. Your office space sets the tone of what your business is all about. A well-designed office can instill trust in clients, and make them want to visit more often.
Color, color, color. There have been many studies that prove color affects productivity. This is an easy way to jazz up your space!
Bring the outside in. Even a subtle touch of nature in the office can greatly help the space. Whether it’s placing a potted plant on your desk or opening up those blinds every now and then, bringing a little nature into the office space is always a good idea.
The list could go on and on, but these are some of my favorite quick tips. I hope I got you thinking about your space and the exciting possibilities it offers. Keep checking our blog over the next couple of months to see photos of our renovations, or stop by and we’ll give you a tour!
