At Marketwave, we’ve been lucky to have some very talented interns with us over the years, so we coined the term “Super Intern” to identify the position. And, our expectations are set pretty high.
We know our newest Super Intern Kayla Lavender will do just fine. She joined us this month to serve as integrated marketing intern. Kayla just graduated from University of North Texas’ renowned Mayborn School of Journalism, but she’s already gained six years of experience in content development, writing copy for websites, blogs and social media. After a couple of weeks on the job, we caught up with Kayla to ask what she hopes to get out of her internship with us. Here’s what she had to say:
1. I’d really like to learn more about the branding process at Marketwave. I’ve always been interested in branding, and I think having a better understanding of this process will be both fun and beneficial to my career. (Plus, it looks like y’all enjoy doing it!)
2. I also want to experience event planning and execution. I’d like to be involved in every step, from beginning to end, and I think Marketwave has plenty of opportunities for me to experience as far as events are concerned.
3. Lastly, I want to have a better understanding of the different roles at an integrated marketing company. I’m interested in learning more about how different departments complement each other in their functions and responsibilities, and I think interning at Marketwave is a fantastic way of learning more about these roles.
We like her ambition and think we’ll be able to give her plenty of the experiences to help achieve her internship goals. The entire team is ecstatic to have her on board this summer. Please help us welcome Kayla to the team!
