Senior Art Director
We call him Fantastic Formica. And although he’s way too humble to ever claim that title for himself, we know how fitting it is because our clients experience his outstanding creative ideas and brilliant designs each day.
As senior art director, James is a key contributor on our creative services team through concepting, layout and design, working in multiple mediums and collaborating with animators, web developers and brand teams. He has led award-winning brand identity projects, designed our branded spaces work and excelled at video storytelling that anchors many of our brand communications strategies. He has sector experience in healthcare, energy, commercial real estate and construction, financial services and nonprofits.
Prior to joining the Marketwave team, James spent 10 years in creative services at the ACTIVE Network as well as the Army and Air Force Exchange Service. At ACTIVE he was responsible for designing, updating and maintaining company and product brand standards, specifically for the sports and endurance markets, to help drive sales and grow business. This included designing logos, icons, signage, booklets, emails, print and digital ads as well as other marketing collateral.
James graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design from Cameron University in Lawton, OK. He’s a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, through thick and thin, and he’s always up for finding the best beer, best taco, best dessert, best whatever he and his wife can find in Dallas or on one of their fun travels.
