As the leading PDC (polycrystalline diamond compact) drill bit partner to top oil and gas companies across North America, Ulterra needed its superior drilling technology and innovative design to be showcased on its website, the digital front-door to its brand. Ulterra’s marketing leader had a vision for the new site and we collaborated with him to bring it to life in a clean, modern, dynamic design that also enhanced the overall user experience.
Marketwave designed and developed the new Ulterra custom website using cinemagraphic hero images to showcase the company’s drill bits as well as the longstanding customer relationships they have. The 3D animated renders, four custom calculators for various drill bit requirements and the new DesignLab for custom bit specifications all helped the new site to serve the customer base better and function as a key sales tool to accelerate to accelerate growth.
Just after the new Ulterra website launched, the Marketwave team shared accolades with its client by winning a Platinum MarCom Creative Award for outstanding digital design. The site also helped the Ulterra sales team increase its qualified leads coming through the DesignLab tool on the site because it served to advance a customer’s interest level by demonstrating the level of customization and collaboration they would experience by choosing Ulterra for their PDC bit needs.
