St. Louis, Mo.-based electric transmission utility company, Republic Transmission, was new to the mid-continent region—thanks to a new development project they won through a competitive bid process. Selected to build a high-voltage transmission line from Dubois County, Ind., to Hancock County, Ky., Republic knew their image would be under a bit of a spotlight. We refreshed their original logo to better convey their experience, trustworthiness and reliability. Taking inspiration from their original logo, we designed a new bolt comprised of two parts that symbolize both sides of their partnerships. Softer, rounded edges give the bolt a friendlier feel, while their wordmark is a bold, strong san-serif font set in italics to illustrate movement and energy.
